The location
The location of the Holiday Park is perfect in so many ways.  The village of Crantock is a beautiful small village which has many walks around it with fantastic countryside views and so much to see.  There is a lovely old thatched pub which has great food and good beers for those partial to a nice bite to eat in the sun, or inside. The West Pentire Headland is a lovely spot for walks.  You can see the sea or the estuary from virtually everywhere and the fresh air and the smell of the ocean invigorates even the tiredest body!  You can enjoy the walk along the coastal path and even take apicnic down to the nearby Porth Joke beach.  Let the kids run loose within your watchful eyes and they will find so much to explore.

Close to Newquay

The estuary of the River Gannel runs up between Crantock and Newquay on the opposite headland.  It is easily walked and crossed at low tide, and at high tide during the day there is a small row boat ferry service to take you across to the other side.  It is a truly breathtaking location whether the tide is in or out, perfect for a family walk.

The town of Newquay has much to offer the visitor.  An old harbour area, miles of golden sands running across the bay area.  Entertainment, restaurants, the famous Fistral Beach, shops and much much more.  You can make a day trip across to Newquay and explore the town, spend time on the beaches and have lunch or dinner there and a night out if you like!
